ALS AMBULANCE SERVICE
As far as economic development is concerned, generally rural people are in weak positions due to a range of reasons, including health, education , safe drinking water, lack of access to technical & entrepreneurial skills, lack of money and awareness, creditable information and technical training means an important opportunity to improve the livelihood, to enhance their social status, to preserve the natural environment and ultimately to shape their own lives.
Currently, rural areas lack adequate ambulance services, leading to delays in emergency response and poor health outcomes. Apart from economic weakness, lack of means of transport is also a major reason; the needy people living in remote areas are not able to reach medical facilities on time. Due to bad roads, the hospitals do not want to send their ambulances so far, there is a fear of damage to the vehicle and most of the hospital people do not even want to send ambulances for poor people, because poor and tribal people are unable to give money immediately and more can’t even give.
ALS Ambulance service is highly potential project & has the ability to penetrate deeper into the society. Since a social worker always accompanies ALS Ambulance service, wide reaching effects can be created through medical & other kinds of care. This potential is yet to be realized.
Sensing that ALS Ambulance service is the most important component of village life, ICVRDO has started a unique project ALS Ambulance service. Through this project, our organization starts free ambulance service to help the needy people, which operates at the Balurghat , Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal State. There is a lack of advance facilities in many villages, in which medical facilities are prominent, rural and tribal people have to go far for treatment, due to which they have to face a lot of trouble, patients take a long time to reach good hospitals. Due to which sometimes they also die, apart from this, they have to face a lot of trouble during going to hospitals.
ICVRDO is providing ALS Ambulance service to the poor people, sponsored by CIL which operates in the Dakshin Dinajpur District. It helps the people who are in need but can't affort.
HEALTH CAMP
ICVRDO recognizes the profound impact of household and community-level health and nutrition education on the lives of the most marginalized. Through our efforts with adolescents, children, and mothers, we've harnessed the power of holistic health and nutrition improvement at the household, community, and service delivery levels.
The organization’s programs are aimed to focus towards increased access to health care facilities, improvement in general health, combating malnutrition and focusing on proportionate access to health care of the women and children.
Most of time underprivileged women’s are not getting proper nutrition. Due to financial issue and lack of education underprivileged womens are facing this issue. They take minimum food. And they do lots of hard work for long time in fimily and farmer. Sometimes they are not get proper diet on pregnancy time also.
ICVRDO'S main focus to awarness camping for women’s helth issue and proper nutrition. ICVRDO provides nutritional food for underprivileged women.
COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAMME
The Community Health Programme is an initiative towards improving the health care and living standards of the people from the remotest rural parts through community development programs and the empowerment of the villagers.
The program reaches out to Pregnant and Lactating Mothers, Adolescent Girls, and the older people of the communities by ensuring safe motherhood, addressing malnutrition from an early age, providing health care for the girls, and providing pathological and clinical services for the geriatric sections.
This is being implemented in the Gazole block of Malda districts of West Bengal.
